In this Tech Tuesday, Kurt Gohde and Kremena Todorova discussed their DLA funded Faculty Research Project in which they memorialized the effects of Covid 19 on individuals and families through photography. 

Besides introducing us to the project, Kurt and Kremena also discussed the challenges involved in creating Alt Text for images, reflecting on the biases and lack of nuance that alternative text can have when describing photographic subjects. Their presentation provided audience members with ideas for how to use alt text in the future as well as how to integrate lessons about alt text into their various classes.
